The National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) seems to be a welcome move by the government. The idea is to not only monetize the idle or under-utilized assets but also to create more employment for people in the infrastructure, agriculture and MSME sectors in rural and semi-urban areas without creating additional pressure on the fiscal equations for the government, giving impetus to growth and that too in a relatively less inflationary manner.
